Privacy and legal notice

This site collects almost nothing. What little it does collect, and why, is set out below in plain language.

Who runs this site

This site is published by JPA Consultancy, Jean-Paul Abbosh, Paris, France. You can reach us through the contact details on the home page.

It is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels. Nobody is told that you visited.

The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so no third party learns your address simply because you opened a page.

That is why you were not shown a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.

If you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, an optional company name and your message. Those are used to answer you and for nothing else.

Your IP address is passed to our email provider with the message, purely so that abuse of the form can be traced. It is not used to identify or profile you.

Your message is delivered as email. It is not stored in a database on this site. It stays in the recipient's mailbox in the same way as any email you might have sent directly.

You will receive an automatic confirmation so you know the message arrived. Replying to it reaches a person.

If you play a video

The videos in the gallery are hosted on YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you click one.

Once you click, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com and YouTube will see your IP address and set storage on your device, under its own privacy policy. If you would rather that did not happen, do not open the videos.

Who else sees your data

Cloudflare, which hosts the site and keeps short-lived server logs.

Resend, which delivers the emails sent by the contact form.

The email provider hosting the recipient mailbox.

Nobody else. Nothing is sold, shared for advertising, or added to a mailing list.

How long anything is kept

Server logs are kept briefly by the host and then discarded.

Email delivery records are kept by our email provider for 30 days.

Your message itself stays in the recipient's mailbox for as long as the correspondence is useful. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our using it. Write to us and we will act on it.

If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you may complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
